How to apply for Further Education Courses

The following general points in connection with your portfolio are important. During an interview at CCAD emphasis is placed on:

Before applying, read through the prospectus and research the courses on offer and career opportunities. An ideal time to do this is during one of our Open Days, when staff are available to answer questions and show you the facilities and studios.

Application forms can be completed ONLINE through the individual course pages, obtained from the College and most local schools, requested from student recruitment or downloaded from this website here.

Interviews normally commence in January. We encourage students to apply as soon as possible, in order that students have access to their portfolio. An initial assessment and guidance interview will be arranged when students have the opportunity to find out which course best suits their needs.
The interview letter will note the time, date and location. Please check these details carefully. A portfolio should be prepared in a logical order. Make note of what you want to say regarding each piece of work. Consider how you researched and answered the brief.
