What do I need to get on this course?
1 A-level, plus 3 GCSEs (at grade C or above) or equivalent*, plus a portfolio of artwork. Applicants will normally be 18 years old or above.
*Mature students (aged 21 or over) who do not have the formal qualifications are also welcome

  • Need help in preparation for degree application
  • Are not sure which area of Art and Design you would like to specialise in at degree level

What will I study?

  • You will explore the main approaches intrinsic to Fine art, Fashion and Textiles, Graphics, and Three dimensions
  • You will follow a programme of drawing and investigating contemporary art and design.
  • You will then have a concentrated period of focussed work within your own choice of specialism
  • You will be supported and guided through your UCAS application.
  • You will exhibit your work upon completion of the course and have a comprehensive portfolio of work for university

What can I do after this course?
The course is perfectly suited to post A-level students who wish to develop their art and design skills to progress to higher education.
