What do I need to get on this course?
1 A-level, plus 3 GCSEs (at grade C or above) or equivalent*, plus a portfolio of artwork. Applicants will normally be 18 years old or above.
*Mature students (aged 21 or over) who do not have the formal qualifications are also welcome
This course is for you if you
- Need help in preparation for degree application
- Are not sure which area of Art and Design you would like to specialise in at degree level
What will I study?
- You will explore the main approaches intrinsic to Fine art, Fashion and Textiles, Graphics, and Three dimensions
- You will follow a programme of drawing and investigating contemporary art and design.
- You will then have a concentrated period of focussed work within your own choice of specialism
- You will be supported and guided through your UCAS application.
- You will exhibit your work upon completion of the course and have a comprehensive portfolio of work for university
What can I do after this course?
The course is perfectly suited to post A-level students who wish to develop their art and design skills to progress to higher education.

Live projects / Trips
There are opportunities to visit key exhibitions across the country and to attend openings and talks by artists. Opportunities to exhibit and sell work are cultivated. Previous students have gone on to win various national awards.
