The College has all of the latest equipment and resources needed to ensure that you can complete your programme and stretch yourself to your full potential. The studios boast industry standard equipment from a digital laser cutter to high end digital backs in Photography to Gerber digital pattern development system, digital fabric printer and knitting machines in Fashion. Film & Moving Image students have the benefit of both 16mm and digital HD equipment across the production areas.

All programmes have their own specialist resources, dedicated studios and workshops and IT facilities with appropriate software and peripheral equipment. State of the art large format printers are available in Textile, Fashion and Photography studios.

Highly skilled and friendly technical staff are present on all programmes to advise and assist you.

The College’s IT facilities are excellent with a broad range of industry standard software titles specifically tailored to each discipline. We offer a wide variety of printing facilities and an exceptional interactive whiteboard provision for each programme along with more specific IT solutions to provide for the more technically specialist programmes.

We have computer suites in all programmes. These are maintained by the IT support team who’ll also cater to your support problems with helpful friendly advice and assistance in the use on software titles and computer equipment.

Further support will be available via our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Blackboard. All of our programmes have a presence there and learning materials, a study skills website and additional information will supplement your studies.

Our Art Box shop offers a range of specialist art and design materials which are sold at discounted prices to students. We also have a vast menu of subsidised food on offer at our new Atrium restaurant.

LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE
Your studies will be informed by a well-stocked, specialist Art & Design Learning Resource Centre. Stock includes over 25,000 books and e-books, 100 current magazines and journals, 1600 DVDs. In addition, a wealth of online resources are also available, such as access to over 10,000 magazines, newspaper articles and over 300 e-books.

The LRC has photocopying facilities and a suite of networked workstations with internet access and a range of software.
